- Shippers Insurance Program - an insurance program for companies who ship outbound and receive inbound shipments with UPS, FedEX, Airborne and most other package carriers. The rates offered by Shippers Insurances are typically 40% - 60% lower than the carrier insurance rates. Coverage is also available for Common Carrier Truck/LTL and International shipments. Rates vary depending on commodity and shipping equipment. Ninety-percent of Shippers Insurance customers have saved at least 50% when insuring their shipments. The savings add up quickly. Currently most of you pay anywhere from $0.35 to $0.50 for shipping insurance, Shippers Insurance Program offers a rate as low as $0.14 to $0.20 for insurance. You can see the difference.
