Medical Place was incorporated, May 1983 in the State of Alabama. What started as a one room office was later moved to an over 4,000 sq ft. glass front building on Carter Hill Road. Today, Medical Place has completed a new office and warehouse facility with approximately 13,000 sq. ft. in Montgomery, Alabama. Medical Place has two additional warehouse locations available to provide a greater stock capacity.

Medical Place initially started as a durable medical equipment (DME) company. DME companies provide medical equipment for home use. Medical Place later expanded into the government sector which distributes medical and laboratory equipment and supplies. It was certified as a small, minority-owned 8(a) business March 1986 under the Small Business Administration. Medical Place has the capabilities of supplying Medical & Laboratory equipment and supplies nation wide.

Alfred Seawright, President and CEO, holds a B.S. degree in Management from Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. He has taken courses to better prepare himself for accounting, management, marketing, bidding, sales, inventory records and distribution.
